The Israel Institute promotes efforts to further alternative energy for a global, oil-free economy. The Israel Institute provides educational seminars focused on alternative energy and viable solutions to ending oil dependency. The Israel Institute grants science and engineering scholarships for outstanding graduate students advancing alternative energy.

About the Israel Institute

The Israel Institute was established in 2007 with the understanding that concerned citizens need to become involved in the effort to diminish global oil dependency and work to bring about effective and efficient alternative energies.

The Israel Institute recognized that Israeli science and technology has been extremely successful in advancing many areas of science, medicine and technology. If that type of creativity were supported in the area of alternative energy, one might see significant advancements.

Therefore, the Israel Institute was formed not only to teach the energy story and the role that Israel and America play in advancing alternative energy, but also to do its utmost to fund and encourage academic alternative energy development that supports the creative imagination of the next generation of talented scientists and engineers.

About Daryl Temkin

Dr. Daryl Temkin is the founder and director of the Israel Institute. He has received national awards for his work in community leadership and education. His professional life is dedicated to promoting the advancement of alternative energy for helping the world bring to a close its dependency on oil.
